Driving at the sun,
back in my publishing days,
book ended my work.
Blinded by our star,
forced to move in bright darkness,
I loathed my commute.
I now drive westward,
as the workday yawns to life,
the sun safe behind.
Once my labors cease,
I point my car to the east,
with no need to squint.

and a state I reach daily

Dense snows big on sop but short on stature
coat the world like a sweatpanted loafer
who is no more than a belly scratcher
sagging jobless on his parents’ sofa.

Some ISP trouble notwithstanding,
my new weblog theme is nearly complete.
Server-side errors impeded landing
the PHP files needed for this feat.
I can tweak and continue debuggin’
and upload all the recoded data.
