About Megan

Before May 15, 2007 I was a 20-something who was searching for meaning - I had dabbled in textbook production, pharmaceutical sales, and college admissions - all while earning 2 post-graduate graphic design certificates, applying and being accepted for a Master’s in Packaging Design (which I couldn’t afford), starting a Master’s in Communication (not interesting enough), and subsequently applying and being accepted for a Master of Teaching in Visual Arts. The latest post-graduate degree I pursued led us to southwestern Vermont, where I learned a lot about organic gardening, outlet shopping, and the fine art of being a barista. My husband and I really grew closer while living in Vermont and - since I had decided that teaching wasn’t my purpose in life - we decided to start a family. In order to be closer to my own family, we sold our house, moved in with my parents when I was 6 months pregnant, got new jobs, then moved into our own house when I was 8 months pregnant.

Three weeks after we moved into our house in mid-coast Maine, on May 15, 2007, our little girl was born. My former life was over - but my new life as a mom had just begun.
